Hey guys, m back with another blog, so today we are moving a bit away from the European countries. Okay so today we are going to India, basically South India, to the so called God’s Own Country, yes to Kerala.
Kerala, a state on India’s tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It’s known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife.

Okay that’s a brief intro to Kerala. So the first image that comes to our mind when we think of Kerala is the greenery forest dense rain forests , But that’s just the outside of Kerala. When you first visit Kerala you will be kinda dissapointed by the way it looks, BUT I guarantee you Kerala is worth visiting. Now what I mean by DISAPPOINTMENT is because there are a lot of reasons okay the main thing is the way they drive, you almost feel like being in a roller coaster. It’s true guys like the people mostly don’t follow most of the traffic rules, but in compared to North India it’s much better. The people or the locals are very tourist friendly and will help you in every way they can. Apart from the traffic there aren’t any issues that has to be concerned about.

But don’t worry there’s tons of things to do in Kerala, like you all already know what it’s famous for and what are it’s specialties. So let’s start with the houseboats, Kerala is really famous for house boats. Witness the pristine backwaters of kerala relaxing in a beautiful luxury houseboats, you will really get to enjoy the lush greenery and the tranquil surroundings, an awesome experience to be experienced.

Coming out of the house boats let’s go have some fun in the jungles, you have tons of forests in Kerala one of which is Wayanad The entire region is completely green with hilly ranges and wildlife. If lucky you will be able to see a lot of animals like wild elephants deer ,monkeys and much more Beware of the monkies though they can just snatch you stuff or even attack you. Walking through the sprawling spice plantations, taking that trek into the pre-historic caves and experiencing a resort holiday are one of the many thing you can do to get a taste of Wayanad.

Okay we were talking about elephants right, Hmmm.. well why not a ride on an elephant, there are many places where you can get a ride on an elephant you can even feed them with your hands, cute though, you even get to experience the elephants taking bath.

If you visit kerala you must visit Allapuzha, a place famous for backwaters and also for the best food, you get to experience a variety of fish combinations mainly focused on fresh water fishes, there are even resorts where they have a pond of fish and allow you to fish, and cook the best out of it.

Now an interesting topic Jatayu Earth’s Center, also known as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a park and tourism centre in kollam district. It’s a must visit place in Kerala. It stands at an altitude of 350m (1200ft) above mean sea level. When open, Jatayu Nature Park will hold the distinction of having the world’s largest bird sculpture… of a giant eagle. this rock-theme nature park is the first PPP tourism initiative in the state of Kerala under the BOT model . I am damn sure you will love this place it’s around 38 Km from kollam district. You have to climb up to reach the top or if you are not interested in wasting your energy don’t worry you’ve got cable cars. How cool’s that. I know nothing new.. 🙂

Visiting a plantation is another important part of you visit to Kerala , You’ve got a lot of plantations in the northern part of Kerala like Munnar idukki etc. mostly tea, coffee, cardamom and also spices. This experience will be unforgetable. Travelers will stumble across the stunning view and also the tasty coffee and most of these places have tea and coffee factories which can be visited. You can also find a lot of other farms in places like Ooty, another place famous for carrots, potatoes and some other vegetables. There’s a carrot processing factory as well that can be visited where you get to experience the beginning to the end of the process. Actually it’s ore than a visit to a factory.
Kerala has got a number of beaches really famous for tourists like Varkala, and Kovalam, for a party atmosphere, you can also visit numerous travellers from every part of the world in these places .

Now leave the beaches when you are all done with the forest views and all the adventure you had go explore Kochi, This historical city, with its bustling port and world-famous Chinese fishing nets, made its name on the old spice route. Today you can discover many signs of this heritage and grandeur, best done by embarking on DIY or guided walking tours of Fort Kochi. Here you will stumble across everything from splendid Portuguese churches to impressive colonial mansions.
Last but not the least enjoy a kathakali show the best way to end your tour, after all the adventures and heritages a little touch of culture to your experience by watching this wonderful show. One of the best place to catch this show is the Kerala Kathakali Center.

There’s much more to see in kerala well for now that’s it, So its sure that you will enjoy your visit to Kerala apart from the roads and the “roller coaster” form of driving. But one thing is for sure, Kerala is a state that’s unique from all the other states of India.
